Shroomancer is an isometric 2D strategy game where players take on the role of a minuscule mushroom mage. Fight with enemies over resources and decompose them all! Summon your mushroom troops! Collect lots of nutrients so you can cast THE BIGGEST SPELL EVER and SAVE THE FOREST!!! (Very cool and awesome)

WASD (or arrow keys) - MOVEMENT

NUMBERS (1-4) - SELECT MUSHROOM TYPE

LMB - COMMAND/INTERACT (Interacting with your base lets you retrieve stored nutrients from it!)

RMB - CAST SPELL

MOUSE SCROLL - SELECT SPELL

F - CALL TROOPS

ESC - PAUSE GAME

Shroom Types

Each type of mushroom at your disposal has different strengths and weaknesses, and are better to use in different situations!

  • (10 nutrients) Troopy: The all-rounder, no weaknesses, but also no strengths
  • (12 nutrients) Bulky: Capable of taking more hits and carrying stuff faster, but is weaker in combat
  • (15 nutrients) Angy: Punches real hard, but can't break down stuff very well
  • (15 nutrients) Ghosty: Deals solid damage and decomposes super fast, but can't carry stuff at all (no hands) and also lower has lower hp.

For some reason my mushroom guys keep running off and I've managed to get stuck with a troop of unorderable units :/ I also still don't understand what most of the spells do after playing for 20 minutes, I do however love the art style, animation, music/sound effects and overall idea of the game, huge potential with more time spent on the overall design (maybe a tutorial level to explain the mechanics, mushroom types, etc.?)

Thank you for playing our game and leaving us the comment!
  - What you experienced is most likely a bug with the destination behaviour. Since minishrooms move on a destination basis, the more tasks on screen, the more buggy it gets.
  - The spells are buffs for your minishrooms. A more detailed guide of what they do can be found here:
  - Due to the nature of game jam, we did not make a tutorial. If we have the extra time we might consider putting up a tutorial, but there are no promises on that.
